SSC CGL exam is conducted by Staff Selection Commission for the recruitment of candidates in group B and C posts in various departments. The full form of SSC CGL is Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level.

The aspirants must apply online through the official website of SSC: https://ssc.nic.in/ The application fees is 100 rupees, although, Women, SC, ST, PwD and Exservicemen are exempted from fee payment.

SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria

For various SSC CGL posts, the candidates must be 18 years old or above but not greater than 32 years old.

Physical Fitness Requirements
Certain Physical standard required for some posts like Inspector (Central Excise/ Examiner/Preventive Officer), Sub-Inspector in CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) and Sub-Inspector in NIA (National Investigation Agency).
Nationality Criteria
The candidate must be the citizen of India.
Or a subject of Nepal.
A subject of Bhutan.
A Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st of January, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India.
A person of Indian Origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India..

  • Paper 3 is for only those candidates who apply for Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and Statistical Investigator Grade-II in the office of Registrar General, India (M/o Home Affairs) and who are shortlisted in Tier-I for these posts.
  • Paper 4 is only for the candidates who are shortlisted in Tier-I for Paper-IV i.e. for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer.
